If you are a 3rd party seller considering Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), you need to apply and be accepted before October ends to be able to sell in the Toys and Games store on Amazon. What do you mean be accepted? I can’t just start selling in the Toys and Games store in the middle of Q4? Not anymore. To sell during the Q4 holiday season, third-party sellers in the Toys and Games category must meet certain requirements. Here is the specific information from Amazon: Dear Seller, To maintain a great customer experience this holiday season, we have established holiday selling guidelines for the Toys & Games store. Only sellers who meet the criteria listed below will be eligible to sell in the Toys & Games store from November 17, 2017, through January 5, 2018. Your first sale on Amazon must occur prior to September 15, 2017. The sale does not need to be specific to the Toys & Games store. You must process and ship at least 25 orders from September 1 through October 31, 2017. The orders do not need to be specific to the Toys & Games store. Your pre-fulfillment cancel rate for the period from October 1 through October 31, 2017 must not be greater than 1.75%. Your late shipment rate for the period from October 1 through October 31, 2017 must not be greater than 4%. Your order defect rate must not be greater than 1% short term as of November 1, 2017. Orders that use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) will not be subject to the above criteria provided your account is in good standing. If you are not able to meet the criteria above, then you will not be able to sell in the Toys and Games category during Q4. That is a tremendous opportunity missed! I Can’t Make it in Time! Maybe you just read through the list, and now you’re pulling your hair out trying to figure out a way to qualify in time. If you read their announcement carefully, the solution is simple. The last statement says that FBA sellers do not need to fulfill the requirements to sell in the Toys & Games store on Amazon in Q4. This means that the most straightforward way for any third-party seller to get into this hot market is to join the Fulfillment by Amazon program. What Does it Cost to Sell with FBA? When becoming an FBA seller, this will likely be one of your first questions. If you’ve looked into the FBA program and its handling fees before February 22, 2017, then you will want to take note of the changes to their shipping and storage fee structure. If you decide to join Amazon’s FBA program to sell in the Toys & Game store in Q4, then you have to include the fees appropriate to your products not to have a total flop of a season when it should be a time of high returns!
